Welcome! I'm Lora Brown, a proud Amarillo native with over 35 years of experience and a passion for creating beautiful hair. My career is dedicated to providing personalized, exceptional service to every client I have the privilege of working with.

My journey
I fell in love with hairstyling at 17 and have been honing my craft ever since. I’ve trained under some of the world’s most renowned stylists and salon owners, continuously expanding my skills through advanced education. In 1996, I opened Lora Brown Salon, and in 2008, I founded The Salon by Lora Brown. Our salon was honored as a Salon of Distinction by Salon Today Magazine in 2009, and in 2020, we received the Top Business Excellence award from the Amarillo Chamber of Commerce.

Passion for Connection
Being a stylist is about more than creating beautiful hair—it’s about building relationships. I love getting to know my clients and creating lifelong connections that go far beyond the chair.

Creative Spirit
Creativity fuels my soul. Whether it's fashion, interior design, or art, I find beauty in the world around me. While I may not be able to draw a stick figure, I’ve mastered the art of hairstyling with shears and a color brush. My perfectionist nature drives me to deliver the best results every time, and nothing makes my day brighter than seeing a happy client.

Life Beyond the Salon
Outside of work, I cherish time with my husband, daughter, and our three Brittany Spaniels. I love good food, great conversations, and a perfect glass of wine. I’m passionate about traveling, health and fitness, and constantly learning—especially through business books that help me grow my coaching skills. Helping others succeed brings me joy, and I believe in lifelong learning and continuous improvement.
