My "Must Haves" for Traveling Abroad

Traveling to other countries is one of my favorite things to do. I love to learn and explore other cultures and checking off items from my "bucket list," but I don't enjoy the packing. I want my favorite toiletries, make-up, skin care, hair care (Oribe) and Dyson dryer. By the time I pack all of these things, my bag is already half the weight limit. I need to save on the weight without compromising on my must haves.

This problem had me spending half a day researching for the perfect travel dryer, adapter and converter. On my first trip overseas, I traveled to Florence, Italy. I took my professional hair dryer only to have blown a fuse and then was left without a blowdryer for the entire trip. My second experience was my trip to the Amalfi Coast, Italy. This time with a T-3 travel dryer that converted, but it was so hot it almost burned my hair. I ended up having to use their wall attachment dryer. If you have ever tried to use this dryer with a round brush, you'd be better off just not shampooing your hair at all. I myself could not pull this off, even with multiple cans of dry shampoo. Besides, it would just add more weight to my bag. I knew that this time I really had to find the answer and solve my problem.

After a ton of research, I chose the Ceptics PV-200x, 230W Travel Converter and the Gemei GM12 professional hairdryer. The Gemei is lightweight, foldable and made for European countries. The cord has an attachment for when you need to use it in the U.S. This is Perfect! Finally, only one dryer to travel with in the future, no matter where your travels take you. The Ceptics converter has over voltage, short circuit, and most importantly, thermal protection. If you notice in the photos provided, it is made for curling irons and hair straighteners. Just like the dryer, it is one and done!

So for those pack rats like me, I hope these two products give you more room and less weight for more of what you can't be without!
