First impressions can make or break a customer’s experience, so we want the first face our guests see to be warm and welcoming! You need to have excellent communication abilities (verbal, phone and email) with a warm customer service attitude. Solid organizational skills and record keeping skills, plus hands on experience with processing transactions, booking and confirming appointments, newsletters and POS systems is required. Previous sales experience and a passion for great hair is preferred. The front desk is all about customer care, so our sales representative must be charismatic and friendly. The role of a salon assistant is an essential position in any salon. Not only do salon assistants aid hair stylists and help ensure the smooth running of a salon, for many aspiring stylists it means their foot in the door of a salon operation and a step on the first rung of a career ladder in the hairdressing industry. You’ll be expected to do a myriad of duties; answer phones, greet clients and provide them with refreshments, prepare clients for treatment, shampoo clients hair, disinfect equipment, sweep floors, fold towels, keep the salon clean and tidy, stock the retail area, and assist on the front desk answering calls and booking appointments.
